Biden picking a fight with the ICC is Biden losing a lot any remaining moral credibility the US has. The ICC has made its decision, and the US could have leveraged it as pressure on Israel without having to take the flak, but they've doubled down like some tinpot dictator

International law does not compare States, groups, or individuals with each other.

International law compares their conduct with their legal obligations.

The standard is not the other side.

- [if yes]: “then why is the US not respecting the ICC’s independent assessment that Palestine is a state for the purposes of the Rome Statute?”

The question journalists should be asking:
- 'does the ICC have jurisdiction over non member states?'
- [If no]: 'so the ICC has no jurisdiction over Russian crimes in Ukraine?'
