Microsoft: Let’s close down Tango Gameworks 😭

Xbox today announced internally it is closing four Bethesda studios, three years after acquiring the company - Arkane Austin, Tango Gameworks (creators of TGA winner Hi-Fi Rush), Alpha Dog and Roundhouse.

The teams behind Hi-Fi Rush and Ghostwire: Tokyo put so much thought and care into even the smallest details in their games. Tango Gameworks, and all affected developers, deserve better.

One year ago, an Xbox executive said Hi-Fi Rush was “a break out hit for us” and that Xbox “couldn’t be happier with what the team at Tango Gameworks delivered.”

Today, Xbox shut down Tango Gameworks.

You can't make this shit up.

On April 11th, Bethesda were tweeting about Tango Gameworks and HI-FI Rush winning *A BAFTA* for Best Animation. Tango Gameworks retweeted.

On May 7th, Microsoft shuts down Tango Gameworks and the studio tweets announcing this.

You know what? FUCK Xbox, I'm officially a biased Microsoft hater now. That is actually how much I cared about Tango Gameworks, but also just Microsoft being the fucking richest company in the fucking world right now yet these absurd large lay-offs & studio closures left & right.

Hi-Fi Rush is one of the best games to come out last year, won several awards, had a unique style and killer soundtrack and now the studio Tango Gameworks has closed down because of Microsoft's corporate greed.

Everyone should experience Hi-Fi Rush and fuck Microsoft.
