Yesterday Rep. Michael Lemelin (R-Chelsea) insinuated that the enactment of LD1619, a bill expanding abortion rights, caused the October mass shooting in Lewiston as a result of God's wrath. We are dismayed by this reprehensible statement and lack of empathy for the victims.

Today, LD1619 goes into effect in Maine. Mothers can now abort their child at any time, up until birth after a Dr. deems it 'necessary.' There are NO restrictions in place to determine necessity. An extremely dark day for us and demonstration of Governor Janet Mills lack of morality.
