Today is #EqualPayDay . Women still earn 32% less than men. The gap is even larger for Black women, Indigenous women, Arab women and women w disabilities.

We need strong public investment in community services to narrow the gap & increase women's economic liberation.

April 16 is Equal Pay Day. The pay gap is not just about gender. The gap increases when intersecting with those who additionally face discrimination.

Tell your MPP to invest in community services and close the gap.

In a united front, the leadership of CUPE Local 79, ATU Local 113 and the Toronto Public Library Workers’ Union – CUPE Local 4948 came together yesterday to urge Mayor Chow to keep the staff-proposed critical investments in City services in the 2024 City Budget.

So great to meet with CUPE Local 79, ATU Local 113 and Local 4948 today at my morning skate.

They were here to support Mayor Olivia Chow's city building budget.
